Following the launch of the election process back in May 2022, the SLOCAT partnership announced the final composition of the SLOCAT Board of Directors 2022-2025 appointing François Davenne as Treasurer.
His new appointment as treasurer, while already serving as a member of the board, strengthens the UIC commitment to the partnership and to working collaboratively across all modes of transport for a global increase in sustainability for mobility systems.
He said: “I am honoured to take up this role with the SLOCAT partnership and support this continued multi-modal collaboration to accelerate action towards a more sustainable mobility system.”
This gender-, geographical- and background-balanced Board of Directors brings together an extraordinary wealth of expertise across the transport and mobility, energy, climate and cities sectors. The diversity of this group of world-class experts reflects the integrated, inter-modal, multi-dimensional and multi-stakeholder approaches for transforming transport and mobility that SLOCAT champions. This will be especially critical as the Board’s mandate in supporting, overseeing and advancing the work of the Partnership will overlap with the period for the elaboration and roll out of the next SLOCAT Strategic Development Plan, following from the first ever one in 2020-2022.
As stipulated in SLOCAT governance rules, the Board of Directors consists of 13 seats: 5 seats issued from the membership, 4 issued from the supporters of the SLOCAT Foundation and 4 filled by independent members. They are elected for a 3-year mandate and are re-eligible once.
