From 1 June, the new member of the Board of SJSC “Latvijas dzelzceļš” (LDz) Vita Balode-Andrūsa will take up the position, whose area of responsibility will be the company’s financial issues. The new member of the Board has significant international experience in the transport sector and change management, which V.Balode-Andrūsa has gained by holding leading positions in several Swedish companies.
Vita Balode-Andrūsa holds a licensed degree in accounting and management economics from the Stockholm School of Economics’ doctoral programme. Since 2012, V. Balode-Andrūsa has worked for the Swedish company “Swedavia AB”, where he worked in the company’s top management group. Prior to that, she was the route manager for SAS Scandinavian Airlaines’ eastern markets for several years, as well as the CFO of Arlanda Schiphol Development Company.
While working for Swedavia, the main airport operator in Sweden, V. Balode-Andrūsa has gained experience in crisis and change management, development of the segment’s financial management structure, and increasing the level of trust of business partners. In parallel with his main job, since May 2019, V. Balode-Andrūsa has also been a member of the board of the Swedish Association of Municipalities and Private Parking Companies “Svepark”.
With the inauguration of Vita Balode-Andrūsa, the Board of SJSC Latvijas dzelzceļš consists of three people: Māris Kleinbergs is the Chairman of the Board, while the members of the Board are Ēriks Šmuksts, whose area of responsibility is technical operation issues and Vita Balode-Andrūsa, whose area of responsibility is there are financial issues.
